The Advent season begins tomorrow. It is a time set apart for us to look back to God’s loving kindness in the miracle of Incarnation—Christ’s first coming as a baby born in a manger in Bethlehem—and to look forward to his promised second coming at the end of history when he will return to restore and redeem every aspect of fallen creation. To that end we will begin a series from the Gospel of Luke called Christmas Canticles: The Four Songs of the First Christmas. The suggested donation is $10 per shoebox and our goal is to pack 60 shoeboxes.
